Here is the overview of a DSC solicitor’s journey with the application (Please refer to the prototype attached to section 4.2 illustrating the steps below):
• Solicitor enter their email address to request a Sign-In link. • A confirmation email sent, only if they have requested access using their cjsm email address. • The link in the email will sign them in to CT application having performed 2 FA(Two Factor) authentication. • Additionally, they will be requested to provide the Custody Reference number and DSC call centre reference number to open a custody record. If the details match NICHE record, they will be successfully be able to match the Custody details. • They can request an email copy of the Custody record which will be sent to their .cjsm inbox. • Whenever there is a change to the disposal on the custody record which they have previously viewed before in CT application, an automatic email notification is sent to their .cjsm inbox. • Solicitor cannot view a Custody record after 28 days of the finalised state (final disposal not listed in disposal table). They would be advised the call 101/Comms/Custody call centre.
15/04/2024: The current logic for updating the last updated date and sending an update email to the solicitor is only being triggered when the following fields are changed:
Custody Record Detention Date, OIC Email, DSC Reference, Hide Officer Details, Detainee Last Name, URN and Occurrence File Number
Offence Record Disposal Type
So, if anything else changes on the Offence no updated is recorded.
Additional fields that are available on the Offence Record are Appearance Location, Appearance Time, Appearance Room, Bail Type, Bail Conditions, Offence Detail and Time Bail Decided (changes to these fields do not trigger a notification).
